McLaurin's high cross creates conflict for single-high safety coverage.

On the Commanders' Rider play-action concept against the Cowboys, McLaurin runs a high cross, working to about 20 yards of depth as he crosses the middle of the field. This combination with Burks' streak route is designed to attack single-high safety coverages like the one the Cowboys play, putting the deep safety in conflict between sinking back to stay on top of the go route or attaching to the high cross.
