Yahoo Sports NFL on Cam Ward

Ward's second-season collapse contradicts preseason optimism; benching may loom.

Ward received a D- grade in the source's quarterback progress report; the source ranked him higher than consensus in preseason despite skepticism about the defensive-minded head coach hire, believing Ward had the talent and mental makeup to overcome it. However, his start to his second season has been nothing short of a disaster, and even though head coach Robert Saleh has been against benching him, they might need to revisit that conversation soon.
