McLaurin ran a high-cross route in a Rider play-action concept against Dallas.

McLaurin ran a high cross route on a play-action 'Rider' concept against the Cowboys, working to about 20 yards depth as he crossed the middle of the field. The play was designed to attack single-high safety coverage, with McLaurin's route creating a conflict for the deep safety. Jayden Daniels read the safety playing shallow and opening his body to McLaurin's route, indicating the safety was looking to cut off that route, so Daniels instead threw to Treylon Burks on the go route.
