Petzing's red zone design leverages Williams' horizontal speed to create defensive chaos.

Featured in detailed play design analysis as a red zone threat; offensive coordinator Drew Petzing designed a play using Williams' horizontal speed in the red zone where his vertical threat is mitigated by spacing. Williams lined up in motion presnap into the box behind the offensive line, then continued horizontally into the flat on play action, creating a near-impossible assignment for the defense when mixed with traffic and movement. Williams also caught a touchdown pass on a no-look throw from Goff where he extended the play with his legs and threw off platform.
