Yahoo Sports NFL on Sam LaPorta

LaPorta's elite edge block on short yardage showcases his tight end value.

LaPorta is asked to reach and gain inside leverage on edge defender Lukas Van Ness on his inside gap on the fourth-and-1 play; the source calls this an insane block from LaPorta and says 'pay the man,' indicating elite execution. However, the source criticizes the play design for fighting against LaPorta's natural leverage rather than sticking to a true power concept on critical downs.
