Penix QB22 vs. elite Bucs pass defense; early deficits may be needed for volume

Penix is ranked QB22 for Week 8 at Tampa Bay. He has thrown three touchdowns in back-to-back games and played quality football, but both games featured early deficits forcing the Falcons to throw more than usual; the team ranks 31st in dropback rate over expected. Tampa Bay's defense has been excellent, ranking No. 2 in pass defense EPA allowed per dropback and successfully limiting Jordan Love, Dak Prescott, and Bryce Young over the last three weeks.
