McCarthy's Giants OT win shows promise, but flaws may persist beyond scenery change.

McCarthy (20-of-28, 252 yards) got off the scrap heap to help the Giants knock off the Texans in overtime, delivering a comeback story; however, the source notes 'I trust the former [Penix] a lot more than the latter still, and I'm not convinced a mere change of scenery will erase all McCarthy's flaws,' suggesting skepticism about his long-term viability despite the positive outing.
