Watkins' roster status uncertain amid 49ers' WR trade deadline planning

Jordan Watkins is one of three current 49ers receivers (along with Christian Kirk and Jacob Cowing) who could potentially be cut as the team manages receiver depth and considers trade acquisitions; the source indicates it's difficult to see the 49ers cutting more than one of these three, with Cowing being the most likely candidate.
