BDGE Fantasy Football on Chigoziem Okonkwo

Okonkwo emerges as Daniels' safety blanket with 7 targets, 7 rec, 76 yards in week six.

With Terry McLaurin out early in week six, Okonkwo ran a full complement of routes and emerged as Jaden Daniels' go-to guy in short and intermediate portions of the field, recording 7 targets, 7 receptions for 76 yards. This is more than a pure volume play: Okonkwo ranks 10th among all tight ends in yards after the catch per reception over the last three seasons, averaging just over 5 YAC per reception. If he becomes Daniels' safety blanket with 5-7 targets per game, he projects as a fringe TE1 depending on matchup, but at minimum a startable tight end most weeks with that target volume.
