McCarthy elevated to Giants starter after Dart injury; team confident in QB acquisition.

J.J. McCarthy became the Giants' starting quarterback after Jaxson Dart's season-ending injury and Jameis Winston's benching. The Giants acquired McCarthy by trading their fifth-round pick and are happy with both McCarthy and rookie wideout Malachi Fields; McCarthy will be the starter despite having only 76 snaps in 2026 before the trade deadline.
