Too early to say I think. Darnold, Mayfield, Daniel Jones, probably a couple others I'm forgetting. They took a while to develop and those guys got a lot more starts than Malik due to being 1st rounders.

Willis's five-game sample too small; comparable QBs took longer with more starts.

The source suggests Willis's evaluation is incomplete after only five games and compares his development timeline to other quarterbacks like Darnold, Mayfield, and Daniel Jones, who took longer to develop and received more starts as first-rounders in better situations. The implication is that a longer runway may be warranted before final judgment, though Willis has received fewer opportunities than those comparables.
