ArticleChiefs News: Harrison Butker may have competition amid struggles

I'm not going to completely overreact to one bad game and completely wipe out Walker's previous five tilts from memory. Yes, Walker's 14-rush, 36-yard output against Seattle probably kills his chances of reaching the heights needed to win the award. However, the totality of his work this season still puts him atop all RBs in yards per game (116.8) and yards per attempt (5.8). He also remains the missed tackles forced king (49).

Walker leads RBs in yards/game (116.8) and yards/attempt (5.8); Week 8 vs. Denver critical.
Walker dropped two spots in the MVP tracker after a 14-rush, 36-yard performance against Seattle, but the source resists overreacting to one bad game. Walker leads all RBs in yards per game (116.8) and yards per attempt (5.8) and remains the missed tackles forced leader (49). His Week 8 matchup against Denver—whom he torched for 173 yards and a score in Week 1—will determine if he clings to his MVP spot or falls out.
