Goff's elite season stalls against Vikings' league-best QB defense in Week 8.

Goff ranks second at quarterback in fantasy points per game (22.2 FPPG) and leads the league in passing yards per game (298) with 2.3 passing scores per contest, but faces the Vikings' elite defense in Week 8. Minnesota allows just 7.6 FPPG to quarterbacks—the fewest in the NFL—and has rushed with an extra man on nearly 70% of snaps. Of the six quarterbacks Minnesota has faced (Love, Williams, Mayfield, Willis, Shough, Jones), only Love reached 12 fantasy points; the other five averaged 16.7 FPPG against non-Vikings opponents. Though Goff completes 72.7% against the blitz, he lacks rushing upside to bail him out, making him a pivot candidate despite his elite season performance.
