Yahoo Sports NFL on Trey McBride

Elite tight end McBride underutilized in red zone despite league-best status and high volume.

McBride is described as the league's best tight end and is a key part of Arizona's pass-catching arsenal alongside Michael Wilson, Kendrick Bourne, and rookie Reggie Virgil. Despite his elite status and the Cardinals' high passing volume (averaging 37.3 attempts per game), McBride has not been a major touchdown beneficiary; the source notes it makes no sense that Brissett has only 10 touchdown passes with access to an exceptional pass-catching tight end like McBride. This suggests McBride's elite role and target opportunity are being underutilized in the red zone.
