Yahoo Sports NFL on Tony Pollard
From the article
Pollard is an RB3/FLEX, as he hadn't cleared 12.0 half PPR points all season prior to Week 7... The matchup is absolutely a pain.
STACKED’s take
Pollard's Week 7 spike unsustainable; elite Bengals run defense makes RB3/FLEX outlook realistic.
Pollard had a season-high 35.0 half PPR points (RB1 overall) in Week 7 on RB3 usage (21.9 expected points) without Tyjae Spears, breaking tackles and scoring twice. However, this was a spike week driven by game script (close game), not sustainable role expansion. Spears has been an afterthought to the Titans staff, but it's hard to believe Tennessee will play many close games moving forward. Pollard is an RB3/FLEX, as he hadn't cleared 12.0 half PPR points all season prior to Week 7. The Bengals present a brutal matchup—the best run defense this year with star DT Dexter Lawrence and EDGE Boye Mafe, allowing fourth-fewest fantasy points to RBs. They stopped Derrick Henry last week (RB43). The Titans' only path is using RBs as pass catchers to exploit Cincinnati's terrible LB duo. Tennessee enters with 18.25-point team total.
