Mahomes faces a significant Week 8 downgrade at Denver, marking the third straight week he's been featured as a fantasy fade. In his two games since the Week 5 bye, he has massively disappointed (9.2 fantasy points per game, 437 yards passing, 0 TDs, 2 INTs). While injuries to WRs Rashee Rice (hamstring) and Tyquan Thornton (ankle, IR), LT Josh Simmons (back, IR), and RT Jaylon Moore (concussion) have taken their toll, the Broncos rank No. 3 in defensive dropback EPA over the past three weeks (-0.149) and No. 4 for the season (-0.051). This is the Chiefs' second straight road game, though they have reduced the Broncos' home-field advantage because they play in division on a similar grass surface.
