Dawgs By Nature on Dillon Gabriel

Gabriel's backup QB role remains uncertain after roster activation.

QB Dillon Gabriel rejoined the 53-man roster with the team reportedly planning to keep four quarterbacks for the rest of the season. HC Todd Monken was noncommittal about Gabriel's role in the QB depth chart behind starter Deshaun Watson heading into Week 8 vs. the Steelers, stating 'I haven't gotten there yet.' The final decision between Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders for the backup role will become official 90 minutes before kickoff when inactive reports are released.
