Goodson emerging as reliable backup; high-efficiency change-of-pace runner.

After the Cowboys cycled through Jaydon Blue, Phil Mafah, Malik Davis (hip injury), and Emari Demercado, they pivoted to former Falcons back Tyler Goodson, who has emerged as a reliable backup. Goodson has looked good as a high-efficiency change-of-pace runner offering explosive suddenness out of the backfield. While Javonte Williams handles heavy interior grinding, Goodson shows nice vision attacking the perimeter on outside-zone concepts. His one-cut burst and quick acceleration allow him to get through tight creases as both a running back and reliable return specialist filling in for KaVontae Turpin.
