Head coach Dan Quinn announced that Ekeler's playing time can now increase after his first three games back with Washington, stating 'Now I think the play time can now increase; he's ready for that.' Ekeler had played only 17 snaps against the Colts, six against the Giants, and seven against the 49ers, while Rachaad White played 46 snaps and Jeremy McNichols played 12 against San Francisco. Quinn's comments signal a significant role expansion for Ekeler in an offense needing more consistent production.
