Video: Ranking Every Week 8 Wide Receiver as a Sit or Start
Vegas clearly is looking at his production as a little bit fluky. His lines are at 36 1/2 receiving yards, three and a half receptions...he's going to play a lot of routes on the outside, which means he's going to see a lot of Christian Gonzalez here...he caught two balls last week. One of them went for a huge play touchdown. Had two touchdowns, right? Caught two balls, two touchdowns, 75 yards, huge fantasy day. The last time he played against San Francisco, obviously got hurt, but he also had two catches for 19 yards.

Caleb Douglas' fluky production masks tough matchup vs. elite corners.

Caleb Douglas returned from injury and makes plays when on field, but Vegas views his production as fluky; projected at 3.5 receptions and 36.5 receiving yards; despite a huge fantasy day last week (2 catches, 2 TDs, 75 yards), his inconsistency is concerning—he had only 2 catches for 19 yards against San Francisco previously; the Patriots will have Christian Gonzalez and Carlton Davis at full strength, and Douglas will see significant outside routes (81% route share) against elite cornerback coverage, making him a shaky flex rather than a must-start despite his playmaking ability.
