Yes, I know Geno Smith posted a representative start versus Miami Sunday (287-3-1), but let's be honest — it all came in garbage time chasing a previously winless team at the time. Smith threw for all 87 yards in the first half.

Negative signalProjection

Smith's 287 yards came in garbage time; 21 sacks and shallow depth chart him as QB16 sit.

Smith's recent performance against Miami was misleading; his 287-3-1 line came entirely in garbage time against a previously winless team, with just 87 yards in the first half. He's taking too many sacks (21 total) and lacks the challenging depth that defined his game (6.6 air yards/attempt, 31.4% throws to sticks, 7.6% deep shot rate). These traits don't work in combination, making him a sit at QB16.
