Blue set for emergency role as Eagles' RB1 with five backs injured

Blue will likely be active Sunday night against the Commanders as the Eagles face a running back injury crisis with Saquon Barkley (hamstring and back injuries), Will Shipley, Tank Bigsby, Dameon Pierce, and Carson Steele all on Injured Reserve. Blue was signed to the practice squad on Sept. 1 behind multiple backs but has now been elevated to the 53-man roster due to the injury cascade.
