The Eagles' running back should recognize cutback opportunities when Commanders defenders overrun the initial direction of the play, as their aggression can work against them when they lose control of their fits. Inside zone looks more promising than outside zone; the Commanders have allowed 5.53 yards per carry on inside zone runs compared with 3.36 yards per carry on outside zone runs. The Eagles should build on more direct running concepts and look for cutbacks rather than stretching the defense with outside zone.
