Yahoo Sports NFL on Josh Jacobs

Jacobs ineffective in close-out drives; negative yards in final drive.

Jacobs was underutilized in crucial close-out situations against Carolina; he scraped out eight yards on two carries in the first drive, then lost three yards and gained one total yard on his next two attempts in the final drive, forcing a punt with 30 seconds remaining. The source notes the Packers went backwards when they tried to lean on the run game in the critical second chance to close out the game.
