STACKED’s take
Cousins faces elite Jets pass defense with aggressive blitz; Bailey's status critical
Raiders QB Kirk Cousins ranks third in passing yards (1,877) and leads the league with 16 touchdowns, but faces a stingy Jets pass defense ranked fifth-best in passing yards allowed (1,314) and sixth-best in passing attempts allowed (213). Cousins has been sacked only 10 times (23rd-least), but the Jets' aggressive blitz package—featuring talented rookie David Bailey (5.5 sacks, doubtful), Kingsley Enagbare (2.5 sacks), and defensive backs including safeties Andre Cisco and Dane Belton—poses a significant threat. Jets cornerback Brandon Stephens has allowed just 43.6% completion rate on 39 targets, while younger corners Azareye'h Thomas and Jarvis Brownlee hold their own in coverage.
