Williams rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown in 16 carries. Corum rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown in 17 carries. The game against the Raiders is what the Rams envisioned — but did not achieve — last season when they aimed to reduce Williams' workload as a way of keeping him fresh for the latter part of the season and the playoffs.

Williams finally got balanced workload with Corum in Raiders win after Rams failed to execute strategy in 2024.

Williams rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown in 16 carries against the Raiders, matching Blake Corum's workload nearly identically (Corum: 93 yards, 1 TD in 17 carries). This represents the Rams' first successful execution of their intended 1-2 punch strategy to balance the workload and keep Williams fresh for the latter part of the season and playoffs—a goal they failed to achieve in 2024. Sean McVay noted the backs are interchangeable and that Williams and Corum are "nice complements" with different run styles that defend different things.
