Nix has been bad to start this season. He's had his moments: the second half against the Jacksonville Jaguars and Los Angeles Rams, the two drives against the Seattle Seahawks in the first half (way more than Patrick Mahomes did against that defense), and then Sunday against the Cardinals. But he's looked and played like a shell of himself to start this season.

Nix's 59.2% completion and 182 YDS/game show sluggish start despite recent Arizona win.

Through seven games, Nix has been bad to start the season with a 59.2% completion rate and 182 passing yards per game average, though he has shown moments in the second half against Jacksonville and Los Angeles, two drives against Seattle in the first half (more than Patrick Mahomes did against that defense), and against Arizona. Mile High Report notes Nix played similarly in his rookie season and last season with sluggish starts, and his Arizona performance may be a confidence builder for the offense, though this is easier to swallow when Denver is 5-2.
