Yahoo Sports NFL on Patrick Mahomes

Mahomes faces Broncos' 2nd-ranked third-down defense after poor third-down performance vs. Seattle.

Mahomes and the Chiefs offense rank 15th in third-down conversion rate at 39%, and a poor showing on third downs against Seattle has dropped them down the rankings. The source notes things won't get any easier this week against the Broncos, who have one of the league's best third-down defenses, allowing only 33% conversion rate (2nd in NFL). Mahomes was hit from behind against Seattle when trying to scramble on third-and-long situations.
