Smith wilts under blitz pressure; Raiders should exploit this weakness in Week 8.

Smith gets rattled when blitzed; this weakness is well-documented from his time with the Raiders last season when he was sacked a league-high 55 times. In his 2026 return to the Jets, Smith has been sacked 21 times (fourth-most in the league) and continues to wilt under pressure. The source recommends the Raiders dial up blitzes in Week 8 to shake Smith's confidence and ground the Jets air attack, as Smith's performance deteriorates significantly when opponents send extra defenders beyond standard four-man rushes.
