Hall's absence has created an opportunity for Braelon Allen at running back, and Allen has taken full advantage. In the four games Allen has started in Hall's absence this season Allen has put together two 100+ rushing yards games. Overall, Allen has averaged 4.6 yards per carry this season while already posting career highs in rushing yards with 418 and yards from scrimmage with 493. Allen has arguably been a more effective back than Hall, and he has presumably earned a larger role in the Jets' offense even when Hall is back in the lineup.
