Yahoo Sports NFL on Ladd McConkey

McConkey nearly completes hail mary but falls short of goal line.

McConkey hauled in a deep ball from Herbert after a deflection on a hail mary attempt before halftime, but failed to secure possession until he was a half-yard outside of the goal line, resulting in no score. The play could have swung momentum in the Chargers' favor had it been a touchdown, but instead the Rams caught a huge break and led 10-9 going into halftime.
