in fairness to Deshaun Watson, his escape routes from the pocket, as it was beginning to implode, were not good. On three of those sacks, he simply ran into a Pittsburgh defender trying to escape.

Watson sacked eight times; poor pocket escape routes contributed.

Watson was sacked eight times and hit twice, with the source noting that on three of those sacks 'he simply ran into a Pittsburgh defender trying to escape' due to poor escape routes as the pocket imploded. He was hit in the head on Cleveland's first possession and sent to the tent for evaluation. The Browns' offense was historically bad, with minus one yard after the opening drive, four accepted penalties, three sacks, and two turnovers by 6:34 of the first quarter. At halftime, the Browns had only eight rushing yards total.
