Cousins ranks second in NFL touchdown passes and would be immediate upgrade for Vikings.

Kirk Cousins is currently second in the NFL in touchdown passes, having thrown more than Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, and Matthew Stafford—only Joe Burrow has more. The source notes that Cousins could step into the Vikings offense immediately and be an upgrade over Kyler Murray, as he was one of the two quarterbacks who have been successful in O'Connell's system (the other being Sam Darnold), excelling under center, in play-action, and manipulating the pocket. However, the source acknowledges the Las Vegas Raiders have been competitive this season largely due to Cousins' play, making a trade unlikely despite the Vikings' offensive struggles.
