FantasyPros Articles on Christian McCaffrey
From the article
Christian McCaffrey strained his hamstring in Week 7 and briefly left the 49ers' Week 7 loss to the Falcons. The reporting has been optimistic about McCaffrey's injury, suggesting it's only minor and that McCaffrey should be good to go against the Raiders when San Francisco emerges from its Week 8 bye. But 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan hasn't always been entirely forthright about McCaffrey's injuries.
STACKED’s take
McCaffrey's hamstring strain reported as minor, but Shanahan's injury history warrants caution.
Christian McCaffrey strained his hamstring in Week 7 and briefly left the 49ers' Week 7 loss to the Falcons. Reporting has been optimistic about the injury, suggesting it's only minor and that McCaffrey should be good to go against the Raiders when San Francisco emerges from its Week 8 bye. However, the source notes that 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan hasn't always been entirely forthright about McCaffrey's injuries; in late summer 2024, Shanahan expressed little public concern about a McCaffrey injury described as calf tightness that turned out to be Achilles tendinitis in both feet, leading to injured reserve and McCaffrey not playing his first game until November.
