Mayfield's 0-for-3 game reflects Bucs' run-heavy approach; must throw vs. Chicago

Mayfield failed to complete any of his three pass attempts in a rain-soaked game where the Buccaneers ran the ball 56 times for 324 yards, with Bucky Irving and Kenny Gainwell each getting at least 25 carries and 140 yards. Mayfield became the first quarterback since 1974 to win a game without completing a pass. The source notes the Bucs will need to throw the ball to stay competitive in Week 9 on the road against Chicago.
