Pride Of Detroit on Tyler Conklin

Conklin responsible for first-half sack but rebounded with key run-game blocking in second half.

Conklin looked directly responsible for one sack in the first half, but the tight end unit rebounded in a huge way in the second half. Having one or two tight ends in the backfield neutralized the Vikings pass rush and opened up massive rushing lanes. The Lions had 14 under center run plays with 2 or more skill players in the backfield, going for 125 yards, 1 TD, with 11 successful runs, demonstrating Conklin's critical role in the run game setup.
