Williams failed to pick up blitzer on critical 3rd-and-8, leading to Prescott sack in OT

Williams was deployed as an extra blocker just behind the offensive line in a 3rd-and-8 situation, a role the Cowboys have used successfully this season. However, on this critical play, Williams failed to scan for rushers to pick up before lazily going out in a short pass pattern, leaving Prescott vulnerable to a Josh Sweat sack in overtime that effectively ended the game. The source indicates this represents a breakdown in execution and role responsibility.
