Yahoo Sports NFL on Matthew Golden

Golden's 16-target edge over Watson yields just one more catch; drop rate is league-leading.

Golden is experiencing a strange second year marked by elite opportunity generation but severe drop issues; he has 16 more targets than Christian Watson but only one more catch, and 33 more targets than Tucker Kraft but only eight more catches. The source notes his drop rate is among the league's worst despite being consistently open, creating an unusual disconnect between target volume and production. While the source cites examples like Davante Adams and Christian Watson overcoming early drop problems, Golden's current struggles represent a significant underperformance relative to his opportunity.
