Christian Watson might be a better one, or at least a more contemporary one. He, too, had some early career bouts of the drops, but he's mostly put that behind him. Well, mostly. He, too, has had some issues with drops this season.

Watson overcame early drop issues; contemporary example of WR redemption after early-career struggles.

Watson is cited as a contemporary example of a wide receiver who overcame early-career drop issues; like Davante Adams, he 'had some early career bouts of the drops, but he's mostly put that behind him.' The source notes Watson 'might be a better' historical comparison than Adams for receivers working through drop struggles. However, Watson 'too, has had some issues with drops this season,' suggesting the problem persists but has been largely resolved from his earlier career.
