CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens were both left on the sideline for the first two plays. Dallas opened with a predictable run that gained nothing. On second-and-10, Prescott was asked to execute a play-action pass with neither of his two best receivers on the field. Lamb finally entered on third-and-16, but Dallas ran the football anyway.

Negative signalRole

Lamb benched for first two plays of crucial late-game drive; conservative play-calling.

Lamb was left on the sideline for the first two plays of Dallas' critical possession with 2:11 remaining and a 27-24 lead at Arizona's 20-yard line. The source criticizes Schottenheimer for not putting the ball in the hands of his best offensive players, with Lamb finally entering only on third-and-16 when Dallas ran the football anyway instead of trusting Prescott to make a play.
