Footballguys on Jaydn Ott

Ott is a three-down back prospect with Reid/Murray connection in a 3% rostered dynasty stash.

Ott is a deep-league dynasty waiver target rostered in only 3% of Sleeper leagues. The undrafted Oklahoma free agent was elevated from the Chiefs' practice squad and has the physicality and receiving skills to be a three-down back in Andy Reid's offense; his RB coach DeMarco Murray coached him in college. Ott's versatility put him ahead of veteran Emari Demercado, who was waived. He would need an injury to Ken Walker III or Emmett Johnson to have meaningful role, but Walker already has 138 touches in six games (23 per game) and is on pace for 360+ touches, suggesting potential workload management later in the season. Ott is positioned as a longer-term play who could earn a larger role in 2027, though the Chiefs could bring in a veteran running back before the trade deadline.
