NBC Sports Rotoworld on Alec Pierce

Pierce's heel injury (IR) elevates Josh Downs as primary option.

Pierce aggravated the injury that required offseason surgery in Week 2; Colts placed him on injured reserve in Week 3. He will attempt to avoid surgery by rehabbing his injured heel; head coach Shane Steichen said Pierce won't practice this week. Josh Downs should serve as the primary option through the air for as long as Pierce remains sidelined.
