Hogs Haven on Khalil Herbert
From the article
Khalil Herbert has actually seen some regular-season action during the 2026 campaign. He's been called up twice from the Atlanta Falcons' practice squad... Herbert is a pocket rocket. While he lacks the size and physicality to be a legitimate three-down force, he is a nice change-of-pace option who can also help on passing downs.
STACKED’s take
Herbert available from Falcons practice squad; change-of-pace option for passing downs.
Herbert has seen regular-season action during the 2026 campaign, having been called up twice from the Atlanta Falcons' practice squad. Another elevation would require him to be signed to the 53-man roster, which the Falcons may be reluctant to do. The Commanders could sign him as a free agent option. Herbert is a pocket rocket and change-of-pace option who can help on passing downs, similar to how the Commanders deploy Jeremy McNichols. While he lacks the size and physicality to be a legitimate three-down force, he could help Washington in the short term. The 2021 sixth-round pick out of Virginia Tech showed promise early in his career with the Chicago Bears.
