Footballguys on George Pickens

Pickens losing snaps to Flournoy; shoulder injury and potential deadline trade loom.

The Cowboys really like what they are getting from Ryan Flournoy, who they signed through next season last month under the radar. He is contributing as a run blocker and now playing over Pickens on run plays, in part because Pickens is nursing a sore shoulder. Marcus Mosher covers the Cowboys, and he suggested that if they lose to the Cardinals and Colts, they could be sellers at the deadline. The bottom line is that Pickens won't be with the team next year in any event, and who knows what kind of reception he'll get in free agency? We may look back at 2025 as an anomalous career year for Pickens.
