There has been a lot of chatter about trading for a running back, specifically Jonathan Taylor. While Taylor is a great back, I have not been of the belief that he necessarily elevates this team dramatically. For a guy that would cost premium draft capital to acquire, he would be joining a Bengals team that will always be pass-first.

Taylor trade doesn't fit Bengals' pass-first needs; Brown already fills that role.

The source dismisses the trade chatter around Jonathan Taylor, arguing that while Taylor is a great back, he would not necessarily elevate the Bengals dramatically. For premium draft capital, Taylor would be joining a pass-first team that already has Chase Brown, who is a high-level pass protector and pass-catcher—the exact profile the Bengals need.
