The Packers continue to stand behind him, primarily because he's the best running back on the roster and they want to win games. Their reported interest in Colts running back Jonathan Taylor strongly suggests that, if the Packers could get Taylor, the support for Jacobs would immediately evaporate.

Jacobs' job security hinges on being the Packers' best RB; Taylor trade interest signals vulnerability.

Packers running back Josh Jacobs remains the best running back on the roster and is being retained primarily for his on-field ability despite serious off-field conduct issues; however, the Packers' reported interest in acquiring Colts running back Jonathan Taylor suggests that if such a trade materialized, support for Jacobs would immediately evaporate, indicating his roster security is contingent on his performance and the team's inability to upgrade the position.
