Yahoo Sports NFL on Patrick Mahomes

Mahomes had season-high 14 under-center dropbacks vs. Denver but averaged just 4.5 yards per play.

The source notes that in the Chiefs' game against Denver, Patrick Mahomes attempted the most passes from under center in any game this season, dropping back 14 times. This represented a significant increase from the previous week when the Chiefs ran just 12 plays from under center (a season-low mark). However, Kansas City averaged just 4.5 yards per play from under center, the second-lowest rate of the year behind the poor showing in Seattle, indicating efficiency concerns despite increased under-center usage.
