Yahoo Sports NFL on Stefon Diggs

Diggs exploited Eagles' red-zone coverage for TD against safety.

Diggs was left wide open in the corner of the end zone against a safety in the red zone, scoring on an option route. This is the second week in a row an offense has attacked the Eagles' red-zone rules and ended up with its best receiving target open in the corner of the end zone. The Commanders used sequencing, showing the Eagles a similar route concept from Week 1 where Diggs broke inside against DeJean, then giving them a different answer by having Diggs take it outside. The source notes this is good offensive football and that the Eagles have to make it harder for opponents to get their best weapon matched onto a safety.
