The Action Network Sports Betting Podcast on David Montgomery

PodcastNFL Betting Playground | Week 6October 16, 2026

From the episode

David Montgomery is out and Jacksville's run defense is awesome. So they're not going to run the ball. I'm not sure they're going to try to run the ball that much. They're going to pass the ball.

Montgomery out; Texans forced to pass against strong Jags run defense.

David Montgomery is out for the Texans, forcing Houston to rely on passing. Brandon notes that with Montgomery out and Jacksonville's run defense being excellent, the Texans will not run the ball effectively and will need to pass, which plays into CJ Stroud's strengths but also exposes Houston's weak offensive line.
