Yahoo Sports NFL on Josh Downs

Downs failed to fill expanded role after Colts gave up on other talented WRs.

Josh Downs was supposed to provide depth and play more in heavier personnel looks to offset the loss of other WRs, but this strategy has not worked out. The source criticizes the Colts for giving up on highly talented WRs, doing a lackluster job replenishing the room, and betting on Downs to take on expanded roles he was probably never suited for.
